Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization 25. Year Summit Held in İstanbul

In the opening of Summit held at May 22, 2017 in İstanbul, President Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım participated. Following the bilateral talks between Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Russian Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev, a joint communiqué has been signed for lifting the obstacles and restrictions on commercial trade between Turkey and Russian Federation

A Summit has been held on May 22, 2017 in Lütfi Kırdar International Congress Center and Exhibition Palace in İstanbul on the occassion of 25. Anniversary of foundation of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC). Summit started with the speech delivered by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Summit has been participated by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Russia Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev, Azerbaijan Head of National Assembly Oktay Asadov and representatives of the countries involved.

A communiqué signed for lifting the obstacles and restrictions on the way of commercial relations between Turkey-Russia

A joint communiqué has been signed between Turkey and Russia Federation for lifting the obstacles and restrictions on the way of commercial relations between the two countries. Following the talks between Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Russia Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev, a signing ceremony was held.

Joint communiqué signed by Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Russia Federation Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkoviç in the presence of Prime Ministers of the two countries, is seen as a major step taken towards normalization of commercial and economic relations, increasing the current trade and work volume.

There are 12 members of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) founded on June 25, 1992 for developing economic cooperation of regional countries. Member countries are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldovia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
