The appointment made to the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) by means of the triple signature decree is published in the Official Gazette dated October 1, 2016. According to the decree, Funda Ocak who was the Deputy Director General and a Board Member at DHMİ since 2007 has been appointed as the Board Chairperson. Ocak has been the first female Director General of DHMİ upon the assignment. Funda Ocak who graduated from the Department of Economy of the Economic and Administrative Sciences at Hacettepe University took offices as the Deputy Department Head of the Research, Planning & Coordination Dept of DHMİ (1985-1993), Department Head of the Research, Planning & Coordination Dept (1993-1996), DHMİ Consultant (1996-1998), and as the Research Development Expert at the Turkish Development Bank (1998-1999). Ocak resuming duties at DHMİ in 1999, was the Department Head of the Research, Planning & Coordination Dept until 2007, and then was posted as the Deputy Director General and a Board Member on December 27, 2007. Funda Ocak who is married with one child speaks English.
