Yapı Kredi Secured 25 Million Euro Source for Renewable Energy Projects

Yapı Kredi CEO Erün, "Renewable Energy projects constitute major part of Bank project financing portfolio. We will transfer 10 year term 25 million Euro financing secured under the Proparco cooperation without guarantee, to projects focused on most efficiently using of renewable energy sources.”

Yapı Kredi, one of the banks in Turkey participated in financing infrastructure projects, primarily of Renewable Energy investments, has announced a new source has been secured for financing Renewable Energy projects.

According to announcement by Yapı Kredi, 10 year term 25 million euro financing has been secured from Proparco, a private sector agency of French Development Agency, for entirely being used of long term financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

In the announcement, Yapı Kredi CEO Gökhan Erün has noted that major part of Bank’s project financing portfolio constituted Renewable Energy projects and went on to say, 

“Yapı Kredi considers efficient energy and emission management, source efficiency, developing environment friendly products and services as their priority in the field of sustainability, gives utmost importance to financing of Renewable Energy and energy efficiency projects and continues to extend support such projects this sense, beside financing of our bank origin, we also took benefit of major funds secured from various international financing agencies. We will transfer 10 year term 25 million euro financing secured under the Proparco cooperation without guarantee, which is the indication of trust to our country and our bank, to projects focused on most efficiently using of renewable energy sources”.
