Limak to be Partner to Motorway Project in Russia

Limak has been partner to Bashkir Concession Company (BCC) founded for motorway project to cost about USD 570 million in Ufa, Russia and assumed the contracting Works of project. Project’s construction period will be 4 years, operation period 25 years

Limak Group, one of the prominent Turkish contracting company also operating abroad, has been partner to a motorway Project in Russia and assumed the contracting of the project.

In the announcement of the company, it is noted that Limak became the partner of Bashkir Concession Company (BCC), founded for motorway project of USD 570 million in Ufa, Russia together with Russian VTB Capital company and also assumed the construction Works of the project.

Motorway construction planned to be completed in 4 years and operation period will be 25 years. 12.5 km motorway Project will be of four lanes, two in one direction, two in other. Project comprises 1,250 m tunnel, bridges with total length of 2 thousand 600 m and viaducts. Its capacity will be of 22 thousand 700 vehicle/day, will connect Ufa to motorway in the East. Limak will realize the road construction together with Marashstroy company, partner of Rostov Airport in Russia.

Limak Holding Executive Board member Serdar Bacaksız said in his announcement, "We will complete the Project in four years. Project is an attractive one from engineering perspective”. Noting the Project will be the biggest work to be realized by Turkish contracting companies in Russia after recovery of relations, Bacaksız said, "We believe awarding this project to our company both as investment and operation will further strengthen relations between the two countries. We are a company seeking to be permanent in the geographies we work. This investment is the proof of our long term existence in Russia as being a public-private investment project".
