New CEO of Akkuyu Nuclear Inc. Takes Office
Yuriy Galanchuk having been posted as the President of the Russian NGS (Nuclear Power Plant) in 2007 has now been posted as the new Chief Executive Officer of the company
Yuriy Galanchuk has been the new Chief Executive Officer of Akkuyu Nükleer A.Ş. (Akkuyu Nuclear Inc.) which will construct the first nuclear power plant in Turkey. Deputy Director General of the company Oleg Titov has resumed the duty of the Deputy Director General Responsible for Operational Support. Galanchuk started his career in 1972 at Omsk Machinery Factory. Galanchuk took his first job at the Construction Management of Khmelnitskiy Nuclear Power Plant right upon graduation from Tomsk Technical Institute Physics and Power Plants Department and worked in various positions starting as the senior operational engineer of the reactor department climbing his career until taking the position of Deputy Technical Manager. He undertook duties as a director at Atomtehenergo Inc. between 2001 and 2012. He administered the commissioning of the nuclear power plant in Iran during these years and governed the department that was responsible for the commissioning of nuclear power plants in Russia. Galanchuk took the office of the President of the Russian NGS (Nuclear Power Plant) in 2007. He was posted in 2012 as the Construction Director of Leningrad Power Plant – 2 within the body of Concern Rosenergoatom Inc. As will be known, the shareholders of Akkuyu Nükleer A.Ş. (Akkuyu Nuclear Inc.) are listed as Rusatom Energo International Inc., OJSC ‘’Concern Rosenergoatom’’, JSC Atomstroyexport, JSC Inter RAO UES, JSC Atomenergoremont and JSC Atomtechenergo.
