Garanti Bankası Receives "The Best Project Finance House" Award
Garanti Bankası is chosen the "Best Project Finance House" in the CEE region. 9 projects with the total size of more than $6 billion received awards in several categories
Garanti Bankası received the Best Project Finance House award in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) Region within the scope of EMEA Finance Awards 2016 organized by EMEA Finance, one of the leading financial publications for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Emre Hatem, the Director of the Project Finance Unit, received the award of Garanti Bankası at the ceremony held in London on June 7 and 8. 9 projects financed by Garanti Bankası with the total size of more than $6 billion received awards in several categories. Ebru Dildar Edin, the Deputy General Director of Garanti Bankası made the following statement about the award: "As Garanti Bankası, we are proud to support ongoing investment projects in Turkey. In addition to being named "The Best Project Finance House" in the CEE Region, we are happy to see that 9 projects we fund earned awards in different categories. By these awards, EMEA Finance confirms our support for various industries in Turkey, including primarily the energy and infrastructure industries. The awards that we receive from international organizations are very important since they emphasize the international reputation and standards of our projects. They also contribute to promotion of our country and Turkish banking industry. We make a difference by our active, pioneer and leading role in funding the projects that contribute to sustainability of Turkish economy, and the innovative solutions that we offer investors. Our bank has provided 8.5 billion dollars of support through project funding in the last 3 years. We will continue to contribute to Turkey's growth by financing in critical industries including primarily energy and infrastructure in near future." Garanti Bankası was also named "The Best Project Finance House" under EMEA Finance Awards 2015, earning this award 4th times straight. Also, Garanti Bankası was the first Turkish bank to receive this award.
