Nevzat Şatıroğlu has been posted as an Advisor to the Ministry of Energy by the triple signature Decree published in the Official Gazette #29878 dated November 4, 2016 and has been alternately assigned the positions of the Director General of Electricity Generation Company (EÜAŞ) and the Chairman of the Board upon Ratification #2740 dated November 11, 2016. Şatıroğlu recently having taken over duties from the former Director General Halil Alış by means of a ceremony, is an undergraduate from İ.T.Ü. Engineering Faculty, Mechanical Engineering with a graduate (MBA) diploma from Beykent University Administrative Sciences. Şatıroğlu having fulfilled the duties as the Quality Assurance Director at Technical Works and Maintenance Directorate of the Regional Directorate of İGDAŞ, had been the General Manager and the Chairman of the Board of İnegöl Natural Gas Distribution Inc. (İNGAZ) within the body of Kalyon Group of Companies, then as the Director General of Kalen Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. within the same group and worked on HEPP Investments, Power Generation, Natural Gas Distribution & Trade, Business Development in Power Plants Running on Renewable Energy Resources, and Business Development in Power Plants Running on Local Coal. Şatıroğlu most recently was posted as a Director in the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) which was a first in Turkey. Şatıroğlu having been born in Istanbul of which Sivas is the home town is married with 2 children and speaks English.
